Myles Allen

Professor of Geosystem Science (University of Oxford)

Myles Allen is a Professor of Geosystem Science at the University of Oxford and the Head of the Climate Dynamics Group, as well as Director of the Oxford Net Zero initiative. Myles has served on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in 2001, 2007 and 2018. He has worked at the Energy Unit of the United Nations Environment Programme, the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Oxfordshire, and at MIT. In 2022, Allen was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire for his work on climate change. He leads the world’s largest climate modelling project: www.climateprediction.net.
