The Zero Emission Conference is one of the largest and longest running climate solutions conferences in Europe, attracting around 1000 participants from businesses, academia, media, politics, NGOs, government and civil society at large.
The Zero Emission Conference is organized by the Norwegian environmental foundation Zero Emission Resource Organisation (ZERO), an independent, non-profit NGO dedicated primarily to developing and promoting solutions to global warming. Our approach is scientifically founded and aimed towards constructive solutions, both technological and political, favoring dialogue and positive influence over conflict and protests.
The Zero Emission Conference has had the honour to present such speakers as UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, European Commissioner for Climate Action Connie Hedegaard, Governor of California Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger, CEO of Liebriech Associates Michael Liebreich, Secretary of State Rainer Baake, Author and Global Health Advocate Chelsea Clinton, Pioneer of the first round the world solar powered flight Bertrand Piccard, Economic Theorist and Political Advisor Jeremy Rifkin, Sociologist Sir Anthony Giddens, Director of Sustainability and Resource Productivity of McKinsey & Company Jeremy Oppenheim, Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg, Political Activist and Artist Bob Geldof, and a long list of other distinguished, world-renowned speakers and heads of state. The 2017 conference was headlined by Brian Deese, former senior advisor to Barack Obama, Trevor Milton of Nikola Trucks, Maria Moræus Hansen of ENGIE E&P and Leevon Liyun Tian of Chinese automaker BYD.
This year is the 14th annual Zero Emission Conference and is held at Skur 13 in Oslo, Norway, 6th and 7th of November. The two-day programme of the 2019 Zero Emission Conference spans across a wide range of topics and perspectives, from the grand visions to the hands-on solutions to the climate crisis.
